“How did the commemoration of the Bicentenary of the War of 1812 connect with the general public”
David Brunelle, the Project Director for the Southern Georgian Bay War of 1812 Bicentennial Committee will describe how the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 caught the attention and imagination of the general public. Over the three years of the commemoration, the information, events and activities helped all of us grasp an understanding of “the war that defined Canadians as Canadians”.
